  • 1 cup long grain rice<\/li>
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion<\/li>
  • 1 tablespoon cut up \u00a0 tomato<\/li>
  • 2 cups water<\/li>
  • 2 tablespoon of diced carrot<\/li>
  • 1 table spoon chopped celery<\/li>
  • 2 table spoon of peas (optional)<\/li>
  • 2 teaspoon chicken bouillon granules\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n

    Directions<\/p>\n\n\n

    1. Heat up the saucepan and then add oil.<\/li>
    2. Add rice.<\/li>
    3. Add in the vegetables, salt, and chicken stock.<\/li>
    4. Heat up until it boils.<\/li>
    5. Turn the heat down to low and cook for\u00a020 minutes.<\/li>

          1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly coat casserole dish with ghee, coconut oil spray, or butter.<\/li>\n \t
          2. Add peeled and cubed potatoes to a large pot of cold salted water.<\/li>\n \t
          3. Bring the potatoes to boil and then decrease heat to simmer for approximately 20-25 mins.<\/li>\n \t
          4. Drain potatoes and transfer them to a large bowl. Mash the potatoes in the bowl and add in butter or ghee, brown sugar or truvia\/stevia, cardamom, and vanilla extract. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated and mixture is smooth.<\/li>\n \t

              1. Combine water and sugar in a saucepan. Bring syrup to a boil.<\/li>
              2. Melt butter in a separate saucepan over medium-low heat, about 5 minutes. Add semolina and pine nuts. Cook, stirring continuously, until golden brown, 20 to 30 minutes.<\/li>
              3. Pour syrup carefully over the semolina mixture. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer until nicely thickened, about 5 minutes. Let rest for 15 minutes.                       1. Pour the milk in the pan and turn the heat on medium-high and bring it to a boil. Once it comes to a boil and rises, lower the heat to lowest and simmer for 2-3 minutes and then turn off the stove.<\/li>\r\n \t
                      2. Let the milk cool down till it becomes lukewarm.<\/li>\r\n \t
                      3. Remove 1 tsp of dhai or yogurt and add it to the container that you will be setting the yogurt in.<\/li>\r\n \t
                      4. Check the milk is lukewarm, you can use thermometer (110 degrees F or 43 degrees C), but who cares for the exact temperature. I do it this way \u2013 stick your clean finger in the milk, you will feel like warm water bath (not hot).<\/li>\r\n \t
                      5. Pour the milk into the container in which you are going to set the yogurt (glass container with tight cover)<\/li>\r\n \t
                      6. Now cover the container with lid. Keep in the warm place without disturbing for 5-6 hours. I usually keep the container in the oven with light on.<\/li>\r\n \t
                      7. Once the curd is set, pop the container in the fridge for further setting.<\/li>\r\n \t
                      8. Keep refrigerated for 1-2 hours or till it gets chilled.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\nTHE YOGART IS READY!\r\n\r\nAdditional points:\r\n\r\nDuring the summer in India, it can be ready very quickly (within 4-5 hours), so do check after 4 hours and see if it is set or not.\r\n\r\nDuring the winters, you can cover the container with warm towel or blanket.                         • 1 small onion, diced<\/li>
                        • 1 small garlic clove, minced<\/li>
                        • 1 Cup Any Type Rice<\/li>
                        • 1 Small Potato, peeled and diced into 1\/2 inch cubes<\/li>
                        • 1 Medium Carrot, peeled and chopped<\/li>
                        • 1 Tsp kosher salt<\/li>
                        • 1 Tsp curry powder<\/li>
                        • 1 Tsp Turmeric Powder<\/li>
                        • 2 Cups water<\/li>
                        • 1 Cup frozen mixed vegetables<\/li><\/ul>

                          Preparation<\/p>

                          1. Heat oil in a medium size pot over medium heat and saut\u00e9 onions for 3 minutes. Add the garlic and saut\u00e9 an additional minute.<\/li>
                          2. Add the rice, potato, mixed vegetables , salt, curry powder and turmeric and stir to combine.<\/li>
                          3. Pour 2 cups of water into the pot and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer, cover and cook for 40 minutes.<\/li>
                          4. Fluff rice with a fork.<\/li>
                          5.
